This is a Kentucky Derby themed celebration, Ladies its time to break out your BIG HATS and Gents get your BOW TIES ready! The event will be held at, both, "Paparazzi" & "Village Grill" and special offers at the Village Market.

The event will take place Saturday, May 5, 2012, from 3p-8p. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Dead Broke Horse Farm to support their horse rescue program.

The Story of the "The Purple Champion" In 1117 AD, mid evil times, a young blacksmith Majur Bonier was in the middle of a love triangle with the princess and her "made to marry" husband. After the princesses husband to be found out about the affair he challenged Bonier to a secret fight to the death at the 1911th hour of the day. This was to take place in the depths of the grape vineyards, where no one could see. The battle lasted four hours and as the sun arose over the horizon, out of the vineyard came Majur Bonier covered in blood and grape skins. From that point forward, the people called him "The Purple Champion"!!!
